Sovereign Multi Purpose Silicone Sealant

Sovereign Multi Purpose Silicone is a high modulus acetoxy curing silicone that will provide a watertight flexible seal on many common building substrates.

Sovereign Multi Purpose Silicone will cure rapidly to give a long lasting, weatherproof silicone rubber seal.

Sovereign Multi Purpose Silicone contains a fungicide therefore it can be used in areas of high humidity such as bathrooms and kitchens.

Suitable for use around doors and windows, sealing around worktops, top sealing in glazing applications, sealing metal cladding and curtain walling.

Please Note: We don't recommend this product for use on PVC. For a better seal on PVC we recommend using Sovereign Low Modulus LMN Silicone.

Application

Surface Preparation:

Surfaces should be clean, dry, free of dust and grease.

Porous surfaces in water loaded applications should be primed with . No primer needed for non-porous substrates.

There is no adhesion on PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®) and bituminous substrates. We recommend a preliminary compatibility test.

Application Method:

• Cleaning: Clean with a Surface Cleaner immediately after use.

• Finishing: Spray with a soapy solution then use to finish.

Coverage:

Coverage of any sealant product varies depending on Joint Width and Joint Depth.

Joint Dimensions:

• Minimum Width for Joints: 5 mm

• Maximum Width for Joints: 30 mm

• Minimum Depth for Joints: 5 mm

• Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Width = 2 x Joint Depth.

Remarks:

• Do not use on natural stones like marble, granite etc... as it may cause staining.

• Do not use on concrete, lead, copper, galvanised steel, PE, PP, PTFE. PC, PMMA, neoprene, bituminous or waxy surfaces.

• Despite this product containing a fungicide, surfaces should still be cleaned regularly to prevent a build up of soap residues which provide mould a 'food source' that contribute to mould growth.

• Do not use in aquaria or in contact with double glazing seals.

• Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
